TYPE OF FILTER 

A shower filter that fits ANY shower and any showerhead in the US. IF THERE IS A PIPE WHERE YOU SCREW ON A SHOWERHEAD, THIS FILTER WILL FIT. Targets chlorine. If you are out of the US, you may need an adapter.

FOR WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES?

For any shower. Most often used for municipal systems. Use this model if your water supply company uses chlorine, but does not add ammonia which changes the chlorine to chloramines. If you don't know, ask them.

WHAT IS FILTERED?

Chlorine is virtually eliminated - up to 99%. We don't believe that there are any shower filters that remove more chlorine. Chlorine is the primary risk from showering and bathing. This top-quality shower filter will also reduce, but not eliminate lead, copper, mercury and other heavy metals. It is highly effective against odors and lime scale.

Please note: The primary risk of fluoride is from ingestion. Fluoride does not release into the air to be breathed in, like chlorine. Not is it readily absorbed through the skin like Chlorine.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

You unscrew your existing showerhead, screw the filter onto the pipe, and then screw your showerhead onto the filter. Fits any showerhead. That includes your showerhead. If there is a pipe onto which you screw a showerhead, then it will fit.  

This special patented process for the kdf shower filter removes chlorine and the filter disks last a full year. This is the BEST SHOWER FILTER we can find. This is the latest model in a shower filter line made and sold in the US since 1991.

Water flow is strong. The patented process increases porosity, which means better contact between water and filter material while maintaining a strong water flow.

FILTER MEDIA FACTS: Kdf is the best media for the shower.  The TurboShower filter uses a patented powdered and shaped kdf disk. (It looks like a woven hockey puck.) Other kdf filters use granulated material. This technology dramatically increases the filter surface area and the contact time with water and therefore delivers greater filtration.  

Skin will stay more supple and smooth, and hair silkier and more manageable as the shower water is naturally softened.
