This 3-canister fluoride water filter is designed to remove MTBE, pharmaceuticals, FLUORIDE and all the other contaminants that might be found in your municipal water supply. The difference from the 2-canister FLUORIDE PLUS filter is an extra canister doubling up on the amount of kdf and carbon for a highly level of protection from chemical AND organic contaminants like drugs.
The first canister (first in line for water flow) has a sediment filter and removes fluoride. The second and third canisters EACH have 2 more sediment filters and two additional filter mediums that will remove free chlorine, chlorination by-products, mtbe, trihalomethane, organic-based drugs and hormones. chemical contaminants like chemical-based pharmaceuticals, heavy metals and more. All together there are 2 POUNDS (OVER 900 grams) of top-grade coconut carbon for extra protection from MTBE and other organic contaminants, and a balancing amount of kdf to remove chlorination byproducts, chemical-based pharmaceuticals and heavy metals.
