Undercounter 3-canister FLUORIDE, CHLORAMINES PLUS FILTER.
FOR WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES?
This 3-canister fluoride water filter is designed to take out CHLORAMINES in addition to FLUORIDE and all the other things you want to remove from your municipal water supply. This combination is right for you if your municipality adds both fluoride and ammonia. Ammonia when combined with chlorine forms chloramines. (Don't spend the money to filter out chloramine if it isn't in your water!)
YES IT FILTERS CHLORINE TOO! To further complicate things, we've heard of one or two places that move back and forth between chlorine and chloramine. This 3-canister system WILL filter out chlorine thoroughly if you are in such a place (like Houston).
Some ask what is the best filter. It depends upon your situation. If you are in a municipality with chloramines, this is the best kitchen filter - in an undercounter model.

HOW DO THEY WORK?
This system delivers 10-stage filtering.
* One canister has a sediment filter and material proven to remove fluoride.
* Another canister has two sediment filters, kdf formulated to remove chloramines, and catalytic carbon which works on by-products.
* The third canister has two sediment filters plus standard kdf which removes chemical contaminants including free chlorine, chlorination by-products, lead, heavy metals and more, and then a full pound of top-quality granulated coconut carbon for organic compounds including organic-based drugs, perchlorate. mtbe and hormones - and which also further reduces the chloramines. Bacteria cannot grow in the carbon because of copper-zinc. (The pictures of the 3 inside canisters isn't quite perfect - one of them, the chloramine cartridge - looks a bit different.)
The amount of material included to remove fluoride has been shown to eliminated it at from 90 to 99.9% in normal circumstances. Based on testing done with the chloramine-removal material, we chloramine to be removed to about 95%!
Why are our filters different from others? Better quality fixtures and filter material and most importantly - more of the right top quality filter material! This determines how much is filtered and how long the canisters last.
