FOR WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES?

For homes with a municipal water supply, or well water that you have chlorinated. If your municipality adds ammonia, you need to get the chloramine version instead of this one. Just ask them, they'll tell you.

WHAT IS FILTERED?

The main thing filtered is chlorine, which is what you should be most concerned about with bathing and showering.

The bath filter also reduces lead, copper, mercury and other heavy metals, dirt, sediment, and odors from your bath water. Your tub will stay cleaner longer because lime scale, mold and mildew deposits are reduced.

Salt is reduced in normal circumstances, but if you have a water softener that adds a lot of salt, you won't see much reduction.

Yes, they will reduce fluoride somewhat, but please understand that the primary risk from fluoride is from ingestion. The risk from showering and bathing is chlorine.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

This is the best bath filter we can find. This bath water filter uses a patented processed kdf to remove virtually all chlorine and increase filtration of other contaminants.

Unlike some alternative products, you do not need to drag the ball around in the bath water to remove the chlorine.

The patented technology dramatically increases the surface area which in turn increases the contact time between water and bath filter. This results in greater filtration and a longer time between filter disk changes.  

The Bath Ball bath water filter simply hangs from clear strapping on your tub faucet. It works for virtually all tubs, but if yours slopes and does not have a tab, you may need to secure the bath ball strapping with a dab of grout or glue, or use a twist tie.

ALL of the water does not need to go through the filter for chlorine to be removed. Healthy trace elements are released into the water by some water running through. (Kdf works differently than many filter media.)

No tools needed to replace filters. You need only change the filter disk inside once a year for optimal filtration.
